Illumination, Part Deux

This  city is big on promoting its artistic community and it shows from the revamped Grand Foyer of Place-des-Arts which showcases a lively and modern design.

This image was processed with Topaz Detail. DeNoise was also applied to smooth out the visible noise that became more apparent after I did a slight Detail boost.

Digging Through The Archives

With Christmas only days away, I have been extremely busy that I have had no time to go out shooting. Work of course is taking up most of my days, and since the sun sets at 4 PM these days, light also becomes an issue for me. I want to remain loyal to this blog, so instead of abandoning it during the holidays, I’ve decided to re-process some of the photos I’ve taken recently. Besides, I see it as an opportunity to sort through my archive and finally get rid of files that show no potential of being salvaged.

This image was edited with the new Topaz Details 3. I am really enjoying this little plugin. In the past, I have used High Pass in Photoshop to add some clarity and crispness to an image, Topaz Detail 3 does that, and more.

It’s All In The Details

I’ve finally purchased the Topaz Labs Details 3, after Beth from Beth’s Photographs mentioned that they are running a 30% discount promotion until the Dec 16 (get it here). I haven’t used Topaz Details before, so I thought I’d give it a try. I used the Enhanced Feature preset on the photo below as a start and I gotta to say, I really like the effect. I hope to play with it more in the next coming days.
