Black & White Art
Well, yes, I have missed you too. It’s been a week since my last post. I needed to re-charge after being sick during the holidays. It wasn’t planned, but I thought I’d give myself a much-needed rest from everything. But I’m back now. I didn’t go anywhere though, I did use that time off to go over some of the photos which I haven’t processed.
This photo was processed using Topaz Black & White Effects. I have used it before, but I wanted to see what else I can do with it besides the traditional B&W conversion. The light vignette was added after it was converted to give the image the look of a vintage photograph. The original image was in color but I prefer the black and white conversion.

The effect almost gives it a sort of rustic, old feeling. It should have been a bit more red/brown in the photo.
Thanks for the feedback, Cardinal. I’ll see if tweaking it a bit will work
I really love it Gracie!!!! I think the effect is great!
Nice to hear you are feeling better…I understand you…13 days now with the flu and is not over jet!!!…
Thanks for visiting my place!
Thank you.
Oh, 13 days, that’s a long time to be down. I hope you’ll feel much better very soon
As you know I really like colour but the subtlety of the lemon sepia tint gives the eye the opportunity to absorb the complete image which is calming and delightful.
I’m glad to know you like the photo
I love the result. Welcome back, Gracie. I’m glad you’re feeling better.
Thank you, Robin
Like the result Gracie, looked twice to make sure I saw B+W, which I know you know I love.
Thanks Mike! I’m glad you liked it.
These days I find myself doing a lot of B&W images
Great black’nd white version, very well done…
Thank you. Glad you like how it turned out
I must say I am quite happy with the Topaz B&W effects.
Perfect shot for conversion in Topaz BW Effects. Looks great! And glad you’re feeling better.
Thank you, Beth. Yep, that time out did the trick, I think
Welcome back Gracie! I love the B&W effects. It’s stunning!
Thank you, Norma. I like it too. I feel I am starting to get more and more drawn into black and whites
