Black & White Art

Well, yes, I have missed you too. It’s been a week since my last post. I needed to re-charge after being sick during the holidays. It wasn’t planned, but I thought I’d give myself a much-needed rest from everything. But I’m back now. I didn’t go anywhere though, I did use that time off to go over some of the photos which I haven’t processed.

Horse and a carriage in black and white

Horse and a carriage | ISO – 100 | 28 mm | 1/45 sec @ f/11 | Topaz B&W Effects

Old Port OriginalThis photo was processed using Topaz Black & White Effects. I have used it before, but I wanted to see what else I can do with it besides the traditional B&W conversion. The light vignette was added after it was converted to give the image the look of a vintage photograph. The original image was in color but I prefer the black and white conversion.

  1. I really love it Gracie!!!! I think the effect is great!
Nice to hear you are feeling better…I understand you…13 days now with the flu and is not over jet!!!…
    Thanks for visiting my place!

  2. As you know I really like colour but the subtlety of the lemon sepia tint gives the eye the opportunity to absorb the complete image which is calming and delightful.

Penny for your thoughts?
