Good morning sunshine!
Although I admit that I am not a morning person, I have been enjoying some early morning walks inside the bird sanctuary lately. These were taken last weekend when I decided to get up before 6AM to go down to the sanctuary.
I took this photo while waiting for the gates to open (I didn’t realize they don’t allow people in until after 7AM). I was told not to go anywhere closer to this geese family as the mother (I assumed this was the mother) has a tendency to attack if she feels that her goslings may be threatened.
I have been going to the sanctuary for a long time now but this was the first time I actually saw and was able to photograph a yellow warbler. I am definitely going back there again tomorrow to see if I can find more birds I haven’t yet encountered.

Thanks, David!
Your early to rise certainly paid off! We don’t have yellow warblers around here…at least I have never ever seen one! Thanks for sharing the excellent photos!
Thank you, David! I was definitely surprised to see a few of them here too. I am very excited to go back and see if they are still in the area
Oh that second bird is just gorgeous! That doesn’t even look real it’s so vibrant! Beautiful pics!
Thank you, Anne! I really love how that one turned out too.
Beautiful! Especially the second one. It’s worth it to get up early for the beautiful light and animal activity, isn’t it?
Thank you, Danita! And you’re absolutely right, it’s very rewarding
Nice Shot..

It paid off getting up early, love the colour tones here and how cute are those baby Canada Geese!
Thank you, Karen! It certainly did, and I must say, I wouldn’t mind doing it again
